Senator Brown invited Emma to pick where her photo would go in his office -- she chose right in the middle of his desk!

Thank you to Senator Scott Brown for meeting with JDRF advocates in January. The group represented 9 different families with type 1 diabetes. Both children and adults with type 1 had a chance to share with the Senator the difficulties of living with diabetes and the need for continued reserach funding. Lauren McChesney Buckman brought her baby daughter and spoke about the difficulities of having type 1 and trying to have a child, and how living in Massachusetts with excellent diabetes support and care made the difference. The Senator agreed that bipartisan support for diabetes research funding was important. The advocates are extremely grateful to Senator Brown for taking the time to meet with them!
